April 29 is World Wish Day, an annual day of recognition and celebration of the wish granted to Chris Grecius in 1980 that inspired the creation of Make-A-Wish® and its mission.
Wishes Need Stars Like You.
Every single one of us can be a star. And when we come together, hope and joy shine. Incredible people like you have joined forces to be the light for children with critical illnesses.
Because no matter where we come from or who we are, we can all align on one truth:
Every child deserves a childhood.
Join the Global World Wish Day Movement
For children battling a critical illness, a wish is not just a dream. A wish-come-true can be a turning point in their lives. It can give children the emotional and physical strength to keep going – to fight harder against their illness. Wishes allow children and their families to focus on the possibilities of tomorrow and not on the challenges of today.

World Wish Day
April 29 is World Wish Day, an annual day of recognition and celebration of the wish granted to Chris Greicius in 1980 that inspired the creation of Make-A-Wish and its mission. Since then, the Make-A-Wish community has grown to over 45,000 volunteers and 30,000 wishes globally every year.
That is a wish every 17 minutes.
We could never do this alone.
We want to thank the donors, volunteers and doctors that every day help us make the impossible possible for these children. Together, we can give children the strength to fight, to get better – to grow up.
Join us this World Wish Day, and help us continue to transform the lives of children with critical illnesses.
