Brandt's New York City Adventure

Brandt is a friendly eight-year-old living with a congenital heart condition. He survived major heart surgery at a very young age, and he still experiences some effects from the surgery today.

Brandt doesn’t let his medical condition keep him from dreaming big and being adventurous. He wished to visit New York City where he could see the famous sights from his favourite movies set in the Big Apple.

In New York City, Brandt and his family saw a Major League Baseball game, visited the Central Park Zoo and the Statue of Liberty, and toured the city in a limousine. The trip lifted everyone’s spirits and strengthened the family.

“Brandt was treated like royalty,” Brandt’s mom exclaimed. “His wish came true in every aspect. It brought joy to the whole family to celebrate his wish together.”

When a wish is granted, it does much more than bring joy to a child’s heart. For wish kids like Brandt, who are faced with critical illnesses, a wish-come-true provides them with strength to battle through darkness and hope for healthier, happier days ahead.
