Nicholas Becomes a BMX Pro

Nicholas loves BMX biking, snowboarding and his favourite hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. Nicholas was diagnosed with bone lymphoma, a rare type of cancer starting in the bone. Despite his diagnosis and challenging treatments, Nicholas never gave up on his dreams, and his wish was the chance to take on a challenge he'd been thinking about a lot.

When asked about a wish, Nicholas told his wish granters that he wanted to go to Camp Woodward in California. This unique camp offers the opportunity to combine a fun learning environment with the ultimate adventure experience. Nicholas chose Camp Woodward because he wanted to participate in the BMX freestyle program, where he could improve his biking skills and learn some new tricks.

Nicholas says he was treated like a rockstar at the camp! He received advice from BMX pros, honed his skills and made incredible new friends from around the world. He also achieved his biggest goal - doing a backflip in the air while on his bike. Nicholas admits he learned that patience and practice leads to success.

A sincere thank you to everyone at Camp Woodward for making this an amazing experience for Nicholas.
