Make-A-Wish® Canada is excited to announce some news from our young professional volunteer committee, the Rising Stars!
We’ve all been having a difficult time after what has felt like the longest year ever, especially during the deep winter months in Toronto. To break up the everyday routine, the Rising Stars are hosting a series of wellness classes all taught by local experts. Each class will help you embrace wellness and practice self-care, all from the comfort of your own home!
Purchase an individual class ticket or treat yourself with a full-series bundle. Not only will you have the opportunity to learn a new skill, but you will also receive a unique care package valued at over $50 delivered right to your door (GTA only), tailored to the selected wellness class. This virtual event series will be entirely contactless. You can stay safe, stay sane, and support Make-A-Wish Canada at the same time!
There are three wellness classes available to choose from: cooking, crafting or yoga. Classes start on Saturday, March 13th, 2021 and tickets are limited, so don’t wait to buy yours here! Find out more or support the event through sponsorship by visiting mawrisingstars.ca

About The Rising Stars:
The Rising Stars Committee is a group of young professional leaders and volunteers in the GTA dedicated to advancing the mission of Make-A-Wish® through fundraising initiatives and serving as ambassadors in the community.
At their inaugural event in 2019, A Night Under the Stars presented by Northern Financial Group, we danced the night away, savouring delicious food and drink, and enjoyed a feature performance from Sarina Haggarty, a former wish recipient. In 2020, our fundraising efforts went virtual! We organized virtual “Wish Dish” classes with baking expert, Colin Asuncion; the mixologists from BartenderOne; and Donna Dooher from Mildred’s Temple Kitchen. Thanks to our incredible committee, attendees, and supporters, we have raised over $65,000 to date, helping to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
