Welders are used to creating physical sparks in their work, but this year, WeldCor Supplies Inc. is aIso helping to spark joy and create hope through their fundraising efforts for Make-A-Wish® Canada.
WeldCor has successfully granted five wishes over the past campaigns and are committed to granting three more by donating 90 percent of their profits back to Make-A-Wish between November 22-24th. But they aren’t stopping there as they hope to hit their target of $30,000 raised for the granting of wishes. Throughout November, companies and individuals can donate any amount, any time via their fundraising page. The top three company donations (combinable with any employee personal donations) will win $2500 vacation packages to gift to an employee of their choice.
The holidays are a time like no other, as they help remind us of the magic that comes with being a child. This year especially, many of us will feel a sense of hope and joy we haven’t known for a very long time as we can safely reconnect with family and friends to celebrate traditions together. For children with critical illnesses, a life of uncertainty remains. Hospital stays, doctor’s visits and painful treatments are their “normal”, even during the holiday season.
“It’s not every day that you can have your welding needs met, raise funds for the granting of wishes for Make-A-Wish and have a shot at some great prizes,” says Leroy Billesberger, CEO, WeldCor supplies Inc. “Thanks to a fundraiser from WeldCor Supplies Inc. it’s all possible right now.”
“WeldCor has been a wonderful partner of ours for years,” says Cathy Gabucci, Western Regional Vice President, Make-A-Wish Canada. “They’ve really upped their commitment to us this holiday season with a unique fundraising event that will help change lives through granted wishes.”
“When choosing a fundraiser recipient, Make-A-Wish was one that had unanimous, unchallenged support from every last person,” said Billesberger, “Everyone can get on board with this as being a worthy cause that makes a true difference in kids’ lives.”
