This holiday season, Warehouse One is once again running their annual holiday campaign in support of Make-A-Wish® Canada. From November 1st until December 24th, Warehouse One will be selling holiday gift boxes with all proceeds coming back to support wish granting. In addition, they will be accepting donations in-store and online.
Warehouse One has a long and proud partnership with Make-A-Wish®. “Warehouse One’s relationship and support of Make-A-Wish dates back many years, but has grown tremendously in the past five years” says Neil Armstrong, President, Warehouse One. “For a business focused on making people look and feel good, nothing makes us feel better than when we celebrate the granting of heartfelt wishes for children with critical illnesses. This past year we celebrated the milestone of $1,000,000 of support provided to Make-A-Wish and we can’t wait until we are celebrating $2,000,000! Our partnership has become far more than just a partnership; it is now more of a bond between like-minded organizations doing what we can to support children with critical illnesses in our communities.”
The holidays are a time like no other, when we remember the magic of what it is to be a child. This year especially, many of us will feel a sense of hope and joy we haven’t known for a very long time as we reconnect with family and friends to celebrate traditions together. But for children with critical illnesses, a life of uncertainty remains where hospital stays, doctor’s visits and painful treatments are their “normal” – even during the holiday season.
The COVID-19 pandemic has added to these challenges, forcing the cancellation of many public fundraising activities, and resulting in thousands of wishes waiting to be granted. While we have found creative ways to grant many wishes safely, there are still so many children who are waiting for their wishes as we await safer times.
“Thank you to our friends at Warehouse One – The Jean Store for their ongoing commitment and support to Make-A-Wish Canada. For the past 20 years, Warehouse One has been a valuable partner across Canada supporting our mission and helping us raise significant funds to continue our work of granting wishes,” says Maria Toscano, Provincial Director, Manitoba & Nunavut, Make-A-Wish Canada. “We are thrilled to see Warehouse One put their weight behind the support of such a worthy cause while empowering their team members to do the same. Helping us fulfill the wishes of children living with critical illnesses, is not only a wonderfully rewarding experience, but it speaks volumes about the company and its people.”
Help them reach their goal of raising $90,000 this holiday season by making a donation or purchasing their holiday gift boxes in-store. ‘Tis the season of giving!
