It’s back! The HoHoHoliday 5K, the most festive fun run in Canada, has returned! From November 25th to December 31st, 2021, this virtual 5km run/walk combines the magic of the holidays with community engagement and fitness while supporting Make-A-Wish® Canada. Be a part of a holiday movement and virtually join 10,000 Santa’s from across the country to help spread cheer and raise critical funds to help grant life-changing wishes.

Participants can plot your own 5K course map wherever you like — in your neighbourhood, on a trail, or at the gym on a treadmill. The run is a fun and COVID-19 safe event that you could do individually, or with your family or employee group (or within your bubble) to help support Make-A-Wish this holiday season. Please ensure you follow COVID-19 health and safety guidelines at all times.

The pandemic has taught us the true power of hope. We no longer take for granted what it means to have something to look forward to. We have learned that the moment joy is on the horizon, everything changes. This holiday season, many of us hope to experience a sense of joy we haven’t known for months. We will reflect on the importance of connection with our loved ones. We will open our hearts to the possibility of togetherness.

“Last year, the HoHoHoliday 5K event raised over $55,000 for Make-A-Wish®,” says Mike Lambert, GM and VP, 365 Sports. “Through our many events and our strong commitment to supporting our communities, we’ve raised almost $300,000 for this incredible wish granting organization. We have the most generous participants out there and we’re excited to come together once again, across our great nation, to help grant some transformative wishes! This is a fun and active way for families and friends to come together safely, dress up as Santa and celebrate the holiday season while doing some good.”

“Every child deserves a childhood full of joyful holiday experiences. We are incredibly inspired by 365 Sports for this ongoing investment and strong belief in our mission” says Sheila Rees, Executive Vice President, Development, at Make-A-Wish Canada “By granting a child’s wish, this generous community of participants will spark joy that will rejuvenate and help our wish kids cope with the stress of fighting a critical illness – and create hope for brighter days ahead”.
