On December 11, City Electric Supply (CES) hosted an event for staff, family and vendors in Vaughan, Ontario to celebrate A landmark achievement of raising $100,000 to Make-A-Wish Canada, an organization that helps grant wishes to kids with life-threatening medial conditions.
On Nov. 5, Coffee Culture Café & Eatery will launch its annual holiday campaign in support of Make-A-Wish Canada. The All I Want campaign asks customers to write their wishes on Coffee Culture cups and post photos to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #CCWishList. From a very young age, Susan Lott Bernava has been deeply committed to charitable work in her community. It was in 2003 that she first heard of Make-A-Wish and began her journey as a volunteer wish granter in the Niagara region.
“I’m very much a people person,” Susan says. “Volunteering with Make-A-Wish is the perfect fit for me because I love working directly with families. Many of these children have been through traumatic events and it feels great to be able to help them find the happiness they deserve.”
