Liebherr 5K Charity Walk

In 2020, Liebherr Canada (LCA) was excited to take on a new challenge, engaging their employees and families across Canada, to help support Make-A-Wish^® Canada’s mission of creating life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses. As a family run organization, Liebherr felt that Make-A-Wish Canada’s mission and spirit was in aligned with their core values. Liebherr has 10 branches across Canada, and their partnership with Make a Wish^® helped create a positive impact from coast-to-coast, all while providing hope and joy to children with critical illnesses.

Their 1st Annual Liebherr 5K charity walk kicked-off in September 2020 and included all their branches across Canada. Employees and their families were invited to participate, including kids walking or riding their bikes, strollers and pets. Leibherr had to pivot due to COVID-19, and introduced virtual walks within their bubbles, ensuring they followed all the safety guidelines.

Liebherr Canada raised just over $44,000, making a difference in the lives of wish children who need the hope of a wish during a difficult time. What an incredible accomplishment and tribute to our partnership! Thanks to the staff at Liebherr for their generous support!

Leibherr said they were honoured be given the opportunity to help grant wishes to extremely deserving children and their families. Their entire team is looking forward to the 2nd Annual Charity Walk and expanding their fundraising activities in 2021.
