The Impact of Small Streamers 

When people think about charity streams, they often picture large-scale events led by celebrity creators raising thousands of dollars in a single stream or campaign. While these events are undeniably impressive, there is also a vast community of smaller streamers making a remarkable impact in the world of charity streaming. 

Small streamers often bring an unmatched sense of authenticity and connection to their communities. Their audiences are tight-knit, where viewers are not just faceless usernames, but familiar and valued community members who consistently show up to chat, support, and celebrate together. When a small streamer chooses to fundraise for a cause they care about, that passion resonates deeply with their audience. Every donation — whether it’s $1 or $50 — becomes a meaningful moment that reflects the power of a community coming together to make a difference. 

This impact can be seen through two Canadian streamers, Strizy and LavenderTheDutchie, who typically stream to audiences of around 5–11 viewers. 

Lavender hosted multiple fundraising streams for Make-A-Wish Canada in August as part of our Stream For The Wishes Fortnite campaign. They initially set a goal of $100, but their community rallied together and ultimately raised more than $700. 

Strizy, whose real name is Robyn, took on an even bigger challenge by hosting daily charity streams throughout the month of March in support of Make-A-Wish Canada. Streaming between four and eight hours every day, Robyn even completed his very first 24-hour stream to close out the month. His original fundraising goal was $700, a milestone his incredible community reached on just the second day. Together, they went on to raise more than $4,100 by the end of the campaign, surpassing every new goal along the way.
