Rose has a strength and spirit that inspires everyone around her. Diagnosed with a brain tumor just before her second birthday, which resulted in an endocrine disorder, her medical journey has included multiple surgeries, daily medications, and frequent appointments. “Despite the challenges, Rose continues to face each day with incredible resilience and determination,” says Renee, Rose’s mom.
The impact of Rose’s brain tumor diagnosis on her family was profound. Renee had to step away from work to care for Rose, and the whole family saw massive changes in their routines and activities. “The early days were filled with fear and uncertainty, but over time, the family grew stronger together. We are a great team,” Renee says.
Rose’s choice of a trip to Cancun for her wish brought much-needed joy and healing to the family. Rose’s favourite part was the kids club, where she made new friends, played games, and explored the resort. Renee’s most cherished memory was their arrival at the Planet Hollywood Resort, greeted by cheering staff and music. “This was a moment that made all of us feel truly special,” adds Renee.
One of the most meaningful experiences for the whole family was connecting with another wish family who shared a similar journey. “The feeling of being understood, accepted, and not judged is priceless,” Renee shared. Rose’s wish reminded the family that they are not alone. Surrounded by other families who understand their journey, they found comfort, connection, and peace.
