Help us bring the power of a wish to children, families and communities across Canada. Become a Make-A-Wish volunteer today and join a dedicated, nationwide network of Canadians who give their time and skills to help create moments of hope for children diagnosed with a critical illness.

Make-A-Wish® Canada (MAWC) volunteers consider their work impactful and meaningful. Their efforts are rewarded – not in dollars or cents – but in the incredible difference they make in the lives of our wish kids. Volunteers even have the freedom to choose when and how they would like to help transform lives in our community.

At every level of the organization, volunteers are critical to our mission. Your time and unique talents are an essential part of bringing strength and hope to wish kids when they need it the most. In fact, our volunteers are at the heart of every wish experience.

“Volunteering with Make-A-Wish has been an absolute honour and privilege over the years. Helping with the wish last week was TRULY the absolute highlight of my year. To feel of value, and use, and to have a purpose again - is something that the words ‘thank-you’ cannot even begin to encompass.” Marie-Claire, Volunteer Wish Granter

“I love being a part of something so magical. It’s incredible to see how positive, optimistic, and joyful families and wish children are. Despite their challenging circumstances, they radiate such a positive energy and it makes volunteering at these events so rewarding and special.” Katy, Event Volunteer
