What It Is
Fundraising events that are planned from outside parties, who in turn, give the proceeds to help support Make-A-Wish.
How It Works
Before any event is promoted to the public, Make-A-Wish must approve your third party event. Once you get the green light, you’re good to start making those wishes come true!
How You Can Get Involved
This is your chance to be really creative in encouraging others to support our cause. You can have walk-a-thons, bowling parties, garage sales, fashion shows, car washes and much more. When you support wishes, the sky’s the limit!
If you would like to host a Third Party Event in your community, please email nationaloffice@makeawish.ca or contact your local Chapter.
Employee Giving
Since Make-A-Wish receives no government funding, we rely on generous and loyal individuals and corporations to help fulfill the wishes of our wish children. The money raised helps to grant wishes to children in our local communities across the country.

What It Is
Students For Wishes is a great way to get a post-secondary school involved in giving back to the community. Through student volunteers, funds raised with the efforts of the school go towards wish children in that community.
How It Works
We work with a dedicated student volunteer executive that raises awareness and funds for our cause. Usually, they’re set up as an on-campus club and help to offer students an opportunity to give back to their community through various events and fundraising campaigns.
How You Can Get Involved
Contact us if you would like to be a student volunteer or want to set up an on-campus club at your school to help Make-A-Wish.

What It Is
Through fundraising managed by kids, Kids For Wish Kids helps to increase awareness of what Make-A-Wish does. But most of all, it gives kids hands-on experience in volunteer work and empowers them to help other children in need.
How It Works
Children form a committee, come up with fundraising ideas and ensure they are carried out. While teachers and parents sometimes serve as advisors, the kids are the ones who run the show! They can organize almost anything from a bake sale, to a dance marathon, a car wash and much more.
How You Can Get Involved
If you would like to increase our awareness and help grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses, then contact any of our Chapters to see how you can get started.
