It is with great pleasure that we introduce you to wish kid, Giselle! The 10-year-old will grace the stage with her two younger sisters.... In 2018, a few months after life-saving brain surgery, Giselle’s wish to dance for her idol came true. Giselle and her family flew to Vancouver and met the singer backstage before her show. Fearlessly, she performed a solo choreographed routine. The experience was magical, and her mother Jane said, “If she was able to do that, we know that Giselle will be able to do anything she sets her mind to accomplishing.”

Tru’s wish took place three years ago when she met her idol, a Canadian YouTube sensation and talk show host. Tru, who was only 11-years-old, confidently performed a song for a live taping and in front of a studio audience while her idol danced alongside her. "The wish experience gave us a chance to turn to something that is so different from the typically challenging management of medical issues," Tru's parents said.

Clare’s memorable wish took place in 2018, when she had the opportunity to meet her idols - a group of internationally renowned pianists - in person in Orlando, Florida. Her idols answered her questions, invited her to a jam session, and even dedicated a song to her at their concert. Her parents remarked that the experience brought the family closer together and helped Clare feel more confident.

Make-A-Wish® Canada creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We strive to bring every eligible child's wish to life, because a wish is an integral part of a child's treatment journey. Wishes have physical and emotional benefits that can give these children a higher chance of survival.
Through all the uncertainty of the past two years, one thing has remained constant: every child’s wish begins with hope. When they have something to look forward to, everything begins to change. Your generous support can bring hope to these children.
