April 5, 2016, TORONTO – Make-A-Wish® Canada is excited to announce that CSN Collision Centres will support Make-A-Wish®Rope for Hope, Presented by Canadian Western Bank this year, the wish-granting organization’s national signature fundraising event, as a Rope Sponsor in four cities.
“CSN is an outstanding partner and supporter of our mission,” says Jennifer Klotz-Ritter, president & CEO, Make-A-Wish Canada. “Over the past five years, the company has raised more than $100,000 to help grant magical wishes for our wish kids. We’re delighted that the team at CSN is growing their support to serve more children living with life-threatening medical conditions and impacting communities across the country.”
In 2015, CSN’s support helped to grant the wishes of two wish kids and their families: Chase, 4, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, who wished to go on a big plane for a family vacation to Florida, and Mikayla, 4, stage 3/4 neuroblastoma, who wished to meet her favourite princesses at a magical theme park in Orlando.
Rope for Hope is an exhilarating event where individuals raise a minimum of $1,500 for local wish-granting efforts in exchange for the thrilling opportunity to rappel down a city skyscraper. The events are open to the general public. Those interested are encouraged to sign up at www.ropeforhope.ca. Space is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
“CSN is pleased to provide further support to our growing partnership with Make-A-Wish by participating in Rope for Hope events in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Halifax in 2016,” says Larry French, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, CSN Collision Centres. “The excitement that is generated at these events has been contagious throughout our network of CSN Collision Centres across Canada, and we look forward to sharing the enjoyment with as many wish children as possible throughout the remainder of the year.”
CSN corporate staff and shops, including CSN - Jones’ Auto Body, CSN - Carleton Place and CSN - Telkor Collision will also participate in the event, raising funds and rappelling from great heights in support of making wishes come true.
Make-A-Wish Canada hopes to raise $1.4 million in 2016 through Rope for Hope events, adding to the over $2.5 million that has been raised since its launch in 2012.
