July 30, 2015, TORONTO - Jennifer Klotz-Ritter, president & CEO, Make-A-Wish® Canada, is excited to announce that she will join a team of 18 adventurous Flight Centre Canada employees on August 4, 2015 for a week-long hiking expedition in Iceland to raise $40,000 for Make-A-Wish®.
“I am beyond thrilled to be a part of this energizing and fearless journey with Flight Centre,” says Klotz-Ritter. “The Wish Trek will serve not only as an exhilarating experience, but an empowering personal challenge that will directly benefit our mission to grant the one true wish of children living with life-threatening medical conditions across Canada.”
Led by G Adventures, the group will leave for Reykjavik to trek 55km along the Landmannalaugar route across the Southern Highlands through one of the country’s most active volcanic areas.
“Team Flight Centre is proud to embark on this Wish Trek to benefit Make-A-Wish, our long-standing partner and charity of choice,” says Allison Wallace, director of media & communications, Flight Centre Canada. “Our team is made up of nine members from British Columbia, six members from Ontario and three members from Alberta, all eager to help raise money for such an essential cause.”
Make-A-Wish would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Flight Centre for more than 11 years of support and its willingness to go the ‘extra mile’ to help grant magical wishes for courageous kids.
