I wish to go to Walt Disney World® Resort
Esraa, 12
heart transplant & lymphoma
Born with a heart condition, Esraa, 12, underwent a heart transplant that transformed her life. Following her surgery, she was diagnosed with lymphoma. It was her wish to experience the enchantment of Walt Disney World, that became the beacon of hope during her recovery.
The day she received her wish box, containing precious gifts and tickets to her dream destination became etched in her heart. “That will be a memory she will treasure forever,” said her father Youssef.
Esraa, her siblings and parents flew to Orlando for a fun-filled week they would never forget. The experience illuminated Esraa’s life with joy and excitement. The vibrant colours, iconic characters, and the atmosphere of pure happiness surrounded them. The family stayed at Give Kids The World Village, a non-profit resort in Kissimmee, Florida. From there, they explored the different theme parks, each offering its own unique blend of adventure and fantasy. The highlights were attending parades and watching fireworks and live shows. “Having the wish granted was such an excitement to the family as we haven’t been able to do a family trip due to my daughter’s condition,” said her father Yousef.
Amidst the anticipation and happiness, there was a special bond that emerged between Esraa and her sister, Aya. Sharing this wish was a journey they undertook together, a moment of connection that was filled with shared excitement and emotion.
